Day 1 - With a gusty north-easterly wind blowing off the Lanzarote shore, the match racing in the RC44 Gold Cup was very challenging this afternoon. Do you play your opponent, or do you play the wind? That was the dilemma.


After the first three flights only Team Cereef, helmed by James Spithill, and Team Aqua, helmed by Cameron Appleton, had kept a clean set of scores. The Australian and Kiwi professionals are due to face off against each other in the fifth flight.
